Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris is finally released. It's been a long longing of mine.
But that's no reason to suspend our rules. No research and just answers please.

3..Where are Viggo Mortenson & Michael Fassbender united nowadays?

4.."Calico" wine translates as ________.

5..An energetic, surging song(?) comes from the 1942 ballet, Gayane.

6..Add one letter for a rearranged "orgies".

7..Famous for Hispanic foods or an undressed woman.

8..Correct this(be exhaustive): The Marriage of Fidelio.

9..Who built the Tikal Temples?

10..L___ ___ D____ by Woody Allen.

11..Among other items, he made balers, ____ _____.

12..Shylock is stymied in his bid for a pound of flesh because..?

12. Basically, because in obtaining his pound of flesh, additional damage would be done, blood would be shed, and, great harm or death result. Essentially, go ahead and take your pound of flesh: but, anything additional that is lost, you're responsible for.

6..Add one letter for a rearranged "orgies".
7..Goya or de-Goya (Thank you Senor Donegean, Spanish 1)
8..The Marriage of Figaro.

12..The ruling is that he can have his pound of flesh, but that no blood can be spilled while extracting it, which is impossible. So he won the ruling, but was unable to receive his award.

1. Meat Loaf’s “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” (Not even an assist to Upink!)
9. Mayan

12. Portia disguised as a legal scholar wins the legal argument saving Antonio his pound of flesh. She argues the contract calls only for flesh and not blood. Furthermore exactly one pound of flesh may be taken no more no less. If these tenets are violated then Shylock would forfeit his holdings. Shylock concedes. But Portia then points out as an alien, a Jew, Shylock attempted to take the life of a Venetian citizen, therefore his holdings must be forfeited. At some point Bassanio has to be wondering just what he got himself into when he married Portia. Dude, don’t cross this woman!

Upink
5. Saber Dance
10. Love and Death

Midnight in Paris might well be Woody’s most charming, romantic, and funny movie.

Certainly charming & romantic. And now and then you hear words from Owen that stun you for realizing for the instant that it is Woody speaking...like to Margeaux or Keaton.

2..Argentina lost. Good, Dink...BUT STOP GIVING US "Wire chief said".

3..That's about the Freud/Jung flic--A DANGEROUS METHOD

4..as Boone's Farm? Someone's spiking your stash. "Fragrent" is what we want.

5..UPink on target with Saber Dance.

6.."Sections"

7..Goya paints the famous Naked Maja...and cooks as his day job. VTC, VAUC & Fair.

8..Fidelio is by Beethoven. Mozart gave us The Marriage of Figaro. Now that's exhaustive!
(OK, a few of you were right...if not exhaustive.)

9..The Mayans, yes, from Fair & Dink (Is that a Vaudeville act or what?)

10..Starting with terif, we got 4 for Love and Death.

11..VTC & Fair with manufacturer John Deere.

12..See Pinot or NCor for good detail.

13..Not bad, VTC, but can you apply this to King Solomon?

Response to 13 was but a WAG but can I ask where the calico wine reference came from? I googled it and came up with a Calico vinyard in Iowa of all places and a Calico white, a blend from Columbia Valley. I'm sure the latter is an "invented" label to identify a wine that most likely has very limited distribution.
