I suspect that is true, too. But I can hope.Just a guess here: he is using the NFL [apparently the Bears also have interest] to get a nice raise from ND. Guess #2: he won't get an offer due to complete lack of NFL experience....but just the thought of him leaving will get ND to pony up and up...and up.
I don't know what he's thinking. If he can't handle the pressure to get ND a title, does he think it will be better in Philly where fans may be less tolerable than ND fans? I can't blame him though. He has had a pretty meteoric rise. I was at ND three years ago when he was first introduced to the crowd after being hired. Thankfully, I had a great day as the UConn ladies laid a whooping on ND. March 4th may be my next trip to NDBrian Kelly interviewing with the Eagles. South Bend in terror of returning to irrelevancy.
You are seriously overqualified.I'm no football expert -- but I have a passing toe in the viewing thereof. And before the game, I turned to a friend and said, "Dunno, seems to me ND is a paper tiger. Who have they played? I think it's going to be a blow out."
Perhaps I should get a job as a college football pundit?

A man (woman) after my own heart. On the bright side, the Fighting Irish getting their butts handed to them in such a manner will have me smiling for years to come.
If Brian Kelly gets a nice raise, it would be pleasing if Notre Dame fades to irrelevance anyway.

I agree, he is a good coach. My husband is an ND fan and I have watched an awful lot of ND games through the years. Before Kelly got there, the team couldn't tackle or run. The Irish were prone to dumb fouls and all kinds of ridiculous mental errors. But Kelly has instilled fundamentals and discipline into the team and as a result, have won a lot more games.Absolutely no horse in this race. I couldn't care less about ND football success.
Brian Kelly is an excellent coach, I think. Even my wife, who pretty much never roots for ND, thinks that. If he gets a chance in the NFL, good for him. If not, and he gets a raise, good for him. If not, oh well.
