I am sure this has been stated a million times. Blindly support the football program and spread the word this is where we need to succeed. We ARE on their list of expansion candidates. Just go to all of the home games. We need to pack the stadium for every game. Nevermind this AAU talk. Trust me. Just go to the damn football games.

Get rid of PP and his staff, bring in an exciting brand of football with a young coach and I'm in!!! I would rather not miss a golf day than watch a dinosaur coaching quite frankly!

That will likely happen after next season. Did you miss "blindly support the program"? We need the damn stadium packed. Is it really too much to sacrifice 3-4 hour intervals for 6 days (at least 1/3rd of which will be too cold to play golf) for one more season for the greater good?

It wasn't too cold to play golf until the snow last week Butch LOL.......I hear ya and I want to but it's an awful brand, the guy lost me when he played Johnny You Tube for a full year,, dreadful group of coaches less Brown (gone), White (gone) Foley and maybe a couple more......

See if I can muster up the plan.......thinking about having the company reinvest anyway but that doesn't promise I ever leave the parking lot with my customers!! ;)

The brand is what we make it. The ball is in our court. I am not exaggerating. I am not going to name names, but if we are really motivated, we can prove ourselves as being a worthwhile addition. Those B1G fans are obviously HUGE on football. That's where they want to see results the most. Pack the stadium every game and our reputation will change. The administration is doing what they can, we have to do our part.

PS: Have the customers go in! :p

He's absolutely right.

The best thing that could possibly happen to our entire athletic department is that every home football game is sold out. That won't happen, but it would be the single best thing that we could all have a part in doing.

We were selling out not too long ago.

No criticism intended. Just funny where the mind goes. Attendance at games is one measurement. Fans tuned into game will matter as well. You point out the appearance factor. Which is what led me to the comment about the logo!

You need to go to the realignment board and find TexanMark who also has Michelle Jenneke in his sig jumping up and down.

I tried........I really did......grew up a Notre Dame fan in football, UConn hoops since Wes B days.....love the school, the university despite not going there........went to Memorial once in my life and did get season tix when the Rent opened for a couple of years and enjoyed it..........

But I'm sorry I cannot get myself excited to waste time to watch what they put on the field and completely change my allegiances.......it's painful to watch and I may rather shoot 115 omn the golf course than see them play under PP........I went to South Bend and sat with Husky fans and had the time of my life and began the change, now UConn is heading towards the gate and I'm not!!! it's ugly and I will not waste time and/or money on the football program.......wish I could say otherwise and I wish I believed that if I went it would make a difference but I can't!!........I must say I was much more disappointed he allowed this guy back than WM not giving KO a contract early on.......

You can't sacrifice 24 hours of your life? Buy the cheapest season tickets? I find games fun to go to even if we lose. We need to fill the stadium. Can't get emotional about the inept OC and HC. If anything, we should celebrate losses because that would bring this staff closer to it's end. Wear a paper bag on your head. Be creative to make it fun, if you want. If you want the basketball program to go to the best conference possible, we have to fill the football stadium too.

We didn't have Pasqualoni two years ago. I swear the mood of fans around me was never so negative under Edsall.

I can understand that. But we have the hand of cards that we have. One more year and PP should be gone. If not, Warde will probably be in big trouble. We have to go to games and do what we can. People whine about conference realignment endlessly. Rather than whining, they'd be be better off taking the bull by the horns and fixing the problem by going to the damn games.

Agree , football is the key and the improvements on the field and attendance are what we need to get there. Hate to ask or see somebody fired but PP has to go and we need to hit a home run on the next hiring. Other teams have done it look at the cuse and Cincy for example and there are others.

Butch, honestly inform the board of what your investment will be in the football program and then try to throw stones.

You go to games when someone is willing to transport you there and someone is willing to give you tickets for free. That commitment represents one hell of a fan. Perhaps if you were willing to sacrifice a bit of your pot budget and use those funds to buy tickets you would be in a position to knock someone who doesn't spend his hard earned dollars (and yes, for most of us those dollars are hard earned) on the football program.

Don't worry about me. I intend to try to get a season ticket next year. I drove myself to all the games I went to last year. I only asked you once. Relax. And have mercy on the disabled, huh? Think it's fun? At least I looked around at what our chances are with legitimate sources.
