Does anyone here know anything about a band called Florida Georgia Line? Are they any good? Their album is 17th on the charts right now after spending time in the Top 10. I stumbled on to the fact that they will be playing the Hebron Harvest Fair on Sunday. How does a Top 10 band end up in Hebron? Must have been an early booking. Anyway, there seems to be no publicity about this at all. Even the Hebron website is giving more exposure to some hippie cover band. I’m not a country fan but this looks like a good place to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Yes, good new band that does that crossover of country and pop. I know my kids like 2-3 songs a lot.

Agree, must have been booked months ago before a few of their songs broke out

If you plan on going, go early. I was at a picnic last weekend with one of the organizers of the event, and he said they typically sell about 300-400 advance tickets (not purchased at the gate), this year they sold over 4000 (with one week to go). It's going to be packed....

One of the best up and coming country acts. Great live. If you like Rock with a country flair; you'll have a great time.

I guess that's why the low-key profile, they already will have as much business as they can handle.

word on the street is...

If you like country with a boogie beat, it's the band to see
If you like the sound of shufflin' feet they can't be beat

(Slightly altered LG lyrics to fit quoted post)

They were on The Today Show either yesterday or Tuesday. Nelly jammed with them on "Cruise". I wasn't really paying attention and wasn't blown away. Looks like they could rock a joint. I have never been a fan of these kinds of country acts. The Hebron Fair will be packed for sure and its cool these guys didn't blow them off.

My wife and I did the little old Guilford Fair last summer and some band called Love and Faith was there. They had a killer hit called Devil's Eyes. They were really good live. Gotta love these fairs.

We'll be at the Josh Turner show in Durham. I will be wearing a hat.

The Terryville CT Fair last summer....for the cost of entry, I saw J. Geils (the guitarist, not the entire band) along with Jeff Pitchell & Texas Flood. Nice show if you like the blues and specifically jump blues. LOTS of beer consumed by that crowd that night.

I live in the town over from hebron....expecting around 60,000 people for sunday alone. And I saw that Florida Georgia line was booked 2-3 years ago for the fair
Im excited

They are really good. Like somebody above said I'm not a big country fan as well and still like some of their songs.

I work with the guy who had a hand in booking them.
He tries to catch lighting in a bottle by projecting who will be big in the future.( I did not realize it was 3 years-have to ask him that)
He was telling me about it a couple of weeks ago.
I am not a country fan so it was lost on me.

Think he said they are booking for 5 times what he paid them

I believe they'll be at the Durham Fair as well, last full weekend in September.
