OT-Fantasy Football

Oh, are you talking about Fantasy again? Certainly weren’t in your initial post because saying Stevenson is more dependable in fantasy is laughable.

“Clearly TD heavy” when he has 6 TDs in 13 games. Lmao okay!!

Also not sure where you’re getting 9.8 FPG for Rhamondre, he has 88 FP in 10 games.
This is a fantasy thread, remember?

Henderson flashed for a few big plays over the 2 week period he had no one pushing him. He got 3 TDs in one game and that boosts his Fantasy PPG. That's the only difference between him and Stevenson right now if you started them both every healthy week.

Henderson had every chance in preseason and through 13 weeks to win this job. Stevenson even fumbled early which should have opened the door. Then he had full reigns when Stevenson got hurt. And he's still in the same timeshare I said back on page 1 of this thread. Any more guesses when he's going to win the #1 job outright? Maybe next week?

You’re lashing out. Henderson is better in fantasy AND better on the eye test. Watching them play multiple times it is incredibly evident. Doing more with less touches per game kinda drives that point home, no?

50% more ypc than Stevenson is pretty incredible, and the fact that Stevenson couldn’t hit 4 ypc against a horrific Giants run defense is yet another feather in my cap. Only regret is I should have taken that bet!

Yet somehow he's still in a 50-50 timeshare?! Just like I said back on August 27th?

Congrats on that. Pretty much everything else was wrong. Pretty sure @Hey Adrien! is happy with getting TH at the 94th pick now. As was my initial entire point that you decided to change into this whole argument. But glad my vision was closer to the truth (:

My argument was he wasn't a steal in the 7th rd and would be stuck in a timeshare all year. And he is.

When you grow up and get older, you'll realize it's okay to be wrong. I was wrong on Maye. There were plenty of other things I have been wrong about this year....but this 50/50 split just ain't one of them.

You’re wrong on Rhamondre and Marks having better numbers, being better overall, and him not turning out to be a steal in the 7th because he has been.

Maybe I will realize it’s okay to be wrong, I hope to. Looks like you haven’t though, mayne in a few more years.

4.8 vs 3.2. Yeeaaaash. Glad you stuck to your horses, though. Maybe write a letter to Rhamondre about your unwavering support (:

YARDS PER CARRY DON'T MATTER IN FANTASY FOOTBALL.

Things I think after 1 week....

1) Justin Fields may have some fantasy relevance.
2) The Russell Wilson signing was a mistake.
3) I would be very concerned about anyone on the Dolphins offense.
4) Hot Take: The Chiefs miss the playoffs.

I’ll take 3 of 4 and calling the Chiefs missing the playoffs in week 1.

Henderson clearly has the #1 role right now and came through huge in a huge game. May have won plenty a FFL playoff game with that effort from RB2 or a Flex position.

In my only league...a 12 teamer...I stumbled out to 0-3. Then went 9-2 to finish in 5th place by 1.08 total points scored. Just needed one more reception!!

Worst pick, probably Kenny Walker III. Nico Collins hurt me, too.

Only 4 get in playoffs?

I’m in the playoffs. Jayden Daniels is out. I have three options for my Superflex spot
Mariota vs Philly
Minshew vs Tennessee
Sanders vs Buffalo (worst choice)

Thoughts? Feels like Minshew against the worst D in the NFL is the safest play.

Minshew is the safest. Mariota has a low ceiling. Sanders is too big a risk/reward play unless you’re a gambler.

Should have gambled. I saw it the same as you. Minshew did nothing and got hurt. Mariota did nothing and got hurt. Sanders is playing well.

Is there anything worse in fantasy football that in game injuries to key players?

The worst. I have lost Nabers, London, Worthy and Kittle in game and for extended periods.

13 touches, 102 yds and 2 TDs for Stevenson
19 touches, 82 yds and 0 TDs for Henderson

Still a timeshare in Week 17......

Still a much better season for Henderson and great pick at 90!!!
These guys are what I've been saying. Stevenson is a more reliable runner, especially between the tackles. Henderson is very explosive but has way too many zero or negative yard runs. From a fantasy perspective Henderson is a bit feast or famine. Stevenson has been excellent now that he's healthy, running quite well. As a football player they complement each other nicely. As Henderson improves as a pass blocker I think he'll start catching more balls and the explosiveness will show.

Completely agree with this. Here are their games side by side from a FFL Pts perspective.

They played 13 games together removing the 3 games Stevenson missed with an injury. Stevenson had more pts total (115.5 to 92.9). Stevenson had more pts in 6 of the 13 games, Henderson in 7 of the 13 games.

Henderson's fantasy value came in Week 10 and 11 when he had the full workload. And if you drafted him expecting him to overtake Stevenson, he never did....and if you started him in either of the last 2 weeks (FFL playoffs), he disappointed. He's very explosive and still very hit or miss. A good flex play, maybe an RB2 during heavy bye weeks.

The final tally on this discussion....

1) A full blown timeshare by Stevenson and Henderson all season long.
2) Henderson the more explosive runner, hit or miss. Stevenson with a very good 4.6 YPC and no fumbling issues.
3) By standard FFL scoring, Henderson was RB21 at 12.2 ppg and Stevenson was RB24 at 12.9 ppg.
4) The average draft position prior to the season (Link here) had Henderson going at RB20 / 46th overall and Stevenson at RB40 / 108th overall so Stevenson was the far better value.
5) Woody Marks was going off the board at RB60 / 206th overall. He ended up as the RB29 with 9.4 ppg.

So, who won?
Well, here's my take on it.

The original discussion came out of Hey, Adrien getting Henderson in the 7th rd and CardiacAndre saying that was a "steal".

I said "He's not supplanting Stevenson, at least not for a good portion of the season barring injury so it's a timeshare. Stevenson is a good receiving back so it's not like he has to come off the field on 3rd down (Antonio Gibson is also a very good receiving back). I also think Stevenson will vulture the goal line carries."

CardiacAndre then said "Disagree, I think he already has pretty much supplanted RS" on August 27th.

That never happened. It was a full blown timeshare the entire way so I "won" that one.

If you want to say Henderson was a "steal" in the 7th? Meh. He certainly had flashes but pretty much played to his draft position when it was all said and done. He absolutely won teams a few games there when Stevenson was hurt and he did flash big play ability at times, but was not someone you could lean on every week, for sure.

Going back to Hey, Adrien's draft? He actually got Zach Charbonnet in the 10th rd, Skattebo in the 11th and Tyler Warren in the 15th all of those ended up being far more of a steal.

I meant the actual league. 😂
