OT-Fantasy Football

Lost my matchup yesterday by about 1/3 of one point. Is there anything more annoying in fantasy football?

In my keeper league (uses Sleeper app) we instituted 2 "wins" per week, head to head and scoring above the median. I think it's a very good approach that helps avoid some absurd results.
It will ruin your morning for sure.

The worst story I was part of (on the good side) was I won my title one year by a half pt. With time running out in the Monday Night game, I had a FG attempt that wouldn't have put me ahead. Then the offense false started, moved them back 5 yds and he hit the longer FG winning the title for me.

Stevenson: 7 carries, 14 yds, 2 TDs, 2 rec, 13 yds = 9 touches, 27 yds, 2 TDs -
Henderson: 6 carries, 24 yds, 0 TDs, 2 rec, 3 yds = 8 touches, 27 yds, 0 TDs
Woody Marks: 7 carries, 24 yds, 0 TDs, 0 rec, 0 yds = 7 touches, 24 yds, 0 TDs

Stevenson had another fumble Sunday. He had 7 touches after the fumble. Same number as Henderson all game.
Stevenson is not going anywhere with Gibson out for the year. My guess is that his role changes and he becomes the short yardage, goal line and third down (for pass protection) back. Henderson should out touch him going forward. He's just going to have to hold onto the ball. It's not like there are RBs anywhere near as good available to the team.

They can't run block at all. I don't care who the back is. Peak Emmitt Smith isn't getting anything when he's hit 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage every play. They have faced among the highest 8 man box defenses in the NFL (3rd, it was first before this week). If Maye keeps wrecking teams that may finally change. But the Pats desperately need to clean up the LBs and safeties bursting through the line.

Fantasy disaster no matter how you look at it.

These byes have been killing my WR core. I've basically started Joe Schmoe off waivers as my WR2 the last 2 weeks. Lol

Stevenson is the clear #1 right now. Henderson looks like a bust in the 7th round and is having the same exact season as Woody Marks.
I’m glad you have something to look forward to every week.

Stevenson still isn’t good, guess he somehow still has the trust of the staff.

I'm sorry there was something written on a message board that got proven wrong and it sucks for you. Admit you were wrong and I don't have to continue it.

I don’t know how many times i’ve had to spell it out for you, but this will be the last time:

Where OP drafted TH AT THE TIME was considered very good value. Hindsight is of course 20/20 and you are correct so far. You can have that. In hindsight AJ Brown and Malik Nabers and others were awful picks at their ADP.

I stand by my opinion that TH is a better player than Rhamondre, and will prove that at some point. If we can just move past this, that would be great. But keep updating their game by game stats if you feel you must.

Except that I didn't have hindsight when I initially disagreed with you.

Anyone can "be considered" good value and that doesn't mean diddly. His "value" came off one electric kickoff return and a few garbage time touches. Period.

And you can stand by your opinion. I'll stand by the NFL coaching staff's. And based off your attitude, I'll just keep posting it.

Cool, you disagreed with fantasy analysts and those alike. Good on you. You did well my friend.

Keep posting it, have a ball man.

Not for just fantasy purposes really, but Henderson is a 3rd down back. That's what he was drafted to become. Change of pace as a rusher, explosive as a receiver, the kind of guy who can get 100 yards and a TD on 12 touches, because he goes 65 on a screen. I think Pats fans and some fantasy folks were delusional if they expected him to become a bell cow. He wasn't at Ohio State, Judkins was and if not for his off field issues he was clearly the better RB as a ball carrier. New England wasn't looking for that, they were looking for a James White with even more explosiveness to fit Josh's scheme. Unfortunately, Henderson was supposedly a great pass blocker and instead he's been the worst blocking RB in the NFL. So he hasn't been able to fill that role.

If he was the pass blocker they expected, he'd be grabbing 5-6 passes a game to go with 6-7 carries. Fantasy star was always a reach.

Well, I used to be a fantasy analyst. So there's that. Maybe you should close your mouth and open your ears and you'd learn something.

Patriots schemed very effectively for Henderson this week. Expecting a very aggressive pass rush, they bounced him outside of it and even ran a few toss pitches to get him outside the edge. That's exactly where he will excel, using his speed to beat linebackers to the sidelines. He's not really a between the tackles back.

My team seems to be going through it's usual mid-season swoon.
Last week was the heaviest bye week of the season. Combine that with a lot of big name players injured right now and benches are pretty thin for everyone.

I faced my sister's bad team in my Dynasty league and lost because I have Daniels as QB2 and a lot of guys on byes including Gibbs and St. Brown. Brutal.

Henderson looking pretty, prettttty good.

Guess I shoulda taken that bet.
LOL. Stevenson is hurt or he still wouldn't get any carries.
He was actually stopped for no gain or a loss many times. He's still not a bell cow RB. His speed is incredible and if he gets loose he's gone. He actually almost had a 3rd long TD and a shoestring tackle brought him down. He's too small in short yardage situations or even against 1st down defenses. Exciting weapon, but he was never going to be an Adrian Peterson type of back.

Very curious to see the splits when Stevenson is back. Henderson certainly got the opportunity the last 2 weeks with the injury...

What it says to me is, why isn't he getting more touches?
Because he couldn't pass block worth a damn and his YPC looks like: 0, -2, 1, 0, 2, 55, 1, 0, 1, 0 = 5.8. I am thrilled he's on the team, but he's not a guy who is going to churn out 4-5 yard runs on first down against a defense trying to stop it. His pass blocking is improving, so even when Stevenson is back I think he gets screens and outside runs he can possibly break for big gains. Would not be surprised if he is split out at times kind of the way Atlanta uses Bijan Robinson.
