There is a railroad bridge in Branford that had a similar record for years. It is now guarded by lights, horns, bells and whistles and radar measuring the height of approaching vehicles to set it all off and stop them.

I always loved the sardine can effect as it peeled roofs back on box trucks. I believe it was, also, 11'8".

I can't believe the number of vehicles that just keep going. Especially the towed campers. They must not have felt the shearing. I can just imagine them pulling into the RV park, getting out and scratching their heads going "what the...?
