Watching the men play and wonder why Cin (home) is in black and UConn (guest) white. Perhaps Home team can select color?

I think that is the typical way, but I think the home team gets to decide if it wears white (or the lighter color). I have seen a few games where the home team was in the darker uniforms.

Rule 3, Section 5, Article 2 of the NCAA Basketball rules states:

Opposing team uniforms shall be of contrasting colors. The home team shall
wear light game jerseys and game pants and the away team shall wear dark game
jerseys and game pants. This rule may be altered by mutual consent of the competing
institutions

So, either this change in procedure was pre-coordinated or the UConn equipment manager brought the wrong uniforms.

IIRC, was there not a situation with the UConn women's team when they went on the road and their uniforms didn't make it/mishandled by the airlines, and all UConn could piece together from the local stores were a few white uniforms which prompted the home team to wear their away uniforms?

Per the announcers Cinci wanted a "blackout" game, and asked UConn to wear white
