The NBA is becoming more and more like professional wrestling...if people think the officiating is fixed, and it was, and they start to think the draft is fixed and the playoffs are fixed...Can you imagine in your wildest dreams someone asking the NFL commissioner fi the draft was fixed? If the playoffs were? That league is in a dangerous place. the new commissioner really needs to get things under control if people don't believe in the integrity of the draft and the games.

They should hold the draft lottery live. I'd love to all the team reps huddled over their numbers like they were raffle tickets and see the winner go nuts as the last number is called.

Eh, I find this to be so melodramatic. For as terrible a job Stern is apparently doing, the NBA is doing great.

People have cried about games being fixed forever, and they will continue to cry about it forever.

Sure, Donaghy fixed games. But that's different from accusing the league of rigging the draft (which, again, was an accusation made against the NBA when O'Brien was the commish). Stern overreacted, for sure. And he's constantly spinning. And he's an egomaniac. I don't see how anything of those things qualify him as being bad at his job.

You would have to be a pure half-wit to believe that David Stern is anything but a great commissioner. The NBA is doing just fine these days.

People think the lottery and the officiating are fixed? People are duck*ing stupid.

If Charlotte won the lottery, people would say it was fixed to help the most miserable NBA franchise which happens to be partially owned by the greatest player that ever lived.

If the Nets won the lottery, it was fixed to help the team moving to Brooklyn.

If Cleveland won the lottery, it was fixed to help the team that got screwed by LeBron.

If Sacramento won the lottery, it was fixed to help keep the team in Sacramento.

The draft lottery used to be shown on TV. I recall Dave Debusschere picking Patricks number. Anybody remember???

The exchange between Stern and Rome would've been better if:

A) It was an in person interview

AND

B) Stern goes Chris (Jim) Everrett on Rome
