In the ridiculously early nfl start to the season. Hey maybe Daniel Jones wasn't “the problem” but maybe it’s the Giants organization. Was it the right move to move on from Jones yes. It’s not his fault the Mara’s tried to convince the fanbase that he’s the next Eli. Was he supposed to turn down a 160 million dollar contract?

Has always been a likeable guy never threw a teammate under the bus. He actually did win get the only playoff win for the Giants since 2011, and yes he literally won that game himself pretty much, against a 13 win Vikings team on the road. Yes the Giants needed to move on but fans saying he’s the worst Giants qb ever, umm hello Dave Brown, Danny Kannell, Kent Graham.

I see Giants fans are so pissed to see the Giants still be the Giants ok understood, but to see Jones have success too why lol. It makes the Giants organization look bad it’s not a reflection on you personally. I really don’t get too emotionaly connected to professional sports anymore, fans are toxic not to say college fans can’t be toxic and UConn fans aren’t exempt from it either. I’m still beyond pissed losing to Cuse.

So who’s better Daniel Jones now or a 37 year old Russell Wilson, again not questioning the decision it is really about Jackson Dart moving forward as Russ is a stop gap qb. Not a good day for the Giants moving on from Jones and putting up 6 pts while Jones looks like an mvp. I get it’s really about future moving forward.

Happy for Danny Dimes he deserves that. Hopefully it continues for him because me as a Giants fan, I can’t wait for UConn men’s basketball. They are painful and looked worse than the last 2 years. OLine still dreadful which has been the only consistent thing in the Dabol and Schoen regime. Offensive play calling is offensive wow lucky to win 3 again I’m thinking maybe 2. Maybe Dart gets in early for the experience and Dabol is out before Game 7?

Jones is a serviceable QB if everything else is going well. He takes too long to go through his progressions, doesn't handle pressure well and is very prone to turnovers when he needs to act too quickly.

That said, when given time he throws a very good deep ball, is extremely accurate at all levels and is surprisingly athletic.

Something tells me that with Indianapolis he'll have many more games where things aren't going well than where they are going well.

It was one game and the Dolphins, who are slowly decaying into one of the worst teams in the NFL under McDaniel. Let's pump the brakes on this one.

Obviously was joking about Jones being an MVP but hey everything was gonna turn into gold for the Giants right once they moved on from Jones (already said it was the right move), oh wait they still suck. Isnt it funny how everyone looks better when they leave the Giants.

Pump the brakes on what? Did you even read my post?

Yup

How long can Dable ride the Josh Allen gravy train?

Some people totally missed my point here. I'm not arguing that Jones is good, im pointing out how bad the Giants are. Jones put up 33 pts and the Giants couldn't get a TD those are cold hard facts. Sure it probably is fools gold, now I do think Jones can be a serviceable starter and a solid backup, are the Giants even good enough to have fools gold, that's how bad it's gotten.

Always liked Jones. One of the toughest players the Giants have ever had. Rooting for him in Indy.

The decision that should have been made - which would have been difficult at the time - was to move on after the playoff win and start anew.

I think the biggest problem with the Giants is still ownership and then Schoen.

Nailed it. Miami sucks. Probably a bottom 5 defense in the NFL. Spent way too much of their cap on flash vs substance.

Exactly this, that's an owners decision can't blame Jones for that like some fans have. Fans got so wrapped up into the Jones talk, that there was a lack of talk of how bad the franchise really is.

There were fans that blamed Jones for Saquon not getting resigned, the truth is Saquon was planning on joining the Eagles once he hit FA, he's from PA and lots of Giants and Eagles live in the same area. I can tell ya right now Nabors is already planning on joining Washington when he hits FA, nobody wants to play for this sorry ass franchise.

One thing is for sure. Jones solidified the fact that Anthony Richardson is an afterthought on the Colts and, barring injury, might never see the field in their uniform again.

Russell Wilson was, is and will be a huge waste of money. Could have gotten a useable OL for that money. Just because he could move at age 25 doesn't mean that 12 years later, he has the same abilities. Yeah, the OL was bad yesterday but maybe Washington was just meaner and tougher, and Wilson is washed up.
The Giants are poorly coached, and the management is beyond useless.
Miami vs NY Giants for the year end Toilet Bowl.

The offensive line was a problem and has become Daboll draft picks, free agents, and line coaches, with absolutely no improvement. Without a quality line the skill positions and play calling are moot. Giants running backs couldn't get to the line of scrimmage without contact and Wilson was under pressure so often it got in his head. Saquon was so good he still broke some plays under the same circumstances but often had the defense in his face before the line. Danny did more running the ball out of pressure or the offensive success was nil. 4 first and goal plays with a lucky penalty to get new downs at the 1+ yardline, and the next 3 downs had Washington players blow the offensive line into the backfield. So bad. (In truth I was high on the Evan Neal pick but the team just has to be able to assemble an offensive line)

That's a lot of words

They seem to think that Thomas will solve their problems. If you read about lisfranc injuries he may never be the same.
