Picking up steam: http://www.wfaa.com/news/investigates/investigation-242149731.html

>>A Dallas Independent School District internal investigation, prompted by a series of News 8 stories, is raising questions about whether one of SMU's star basketball players should have been allowed to graduate from Kimball High School last year.

Also in question is what SMU knew about a grade change and exactly how the player — Keith Frazier — ended up playing for the Mustangs this season.<<

Well this is certainly not what the conference needs right now.

given LB's history, is there any doubt that he knew about the grade changing?

This is the kid who was the McDonald's All-American 5-star shooting guard with zero offers from high-end programs? How surprising.

According to a DISD audit report obtained by WFAA, Frazier was behind in, or failing, at least three classes in the final days of school in 2013. The report also found that Frazier did not have the necessary class hours to graduate. His NCAA eligibility was in jeopardy, investigators said.

On May 29, a week after the final days of class for seniors, Frazier's "failing" grade in physics was mysteriously changed to "passing," the report states. Kimball soccer coach and teacher's assistant Demarco King improperly pressured Frazier's physics teacher to change Frazier's grade. When the teacher refused, King admitted to investigators that he changed the grade himself.

I wonder if NCAA investigates this now or waits? Frazier has played in 19 of 20 games so if SMU played an ineligible player than I think those games they won would be in jeopardy. If they are a bubble team I doubt they get the benefit of the doubt. How soon does Larry Brown bolt if post-season not in play...future of AAC looking brighter every day.

So if he is found ineligible can we get the loss wiped out and replaced with a win?

NCAA moves very slow, maybe in 2015 L becomes a W. Let's hope the story is wrong, need SMU to be strong and eligible next year.

Kudos to the physics teacher. I wonder if they still wi elite there.

What's wrong with that? Maybe he was just preparing for classes at UNC?

At first glance, this looks like a clear, black & white situations...of course, the NCAA can only see the color green, so who knows...
