I was surfing around the blogs today, and found that Ally Auriemma's Culture Barista blog had disappeared. I always enjoy her writing. Anybody know if it just moved or if it is "on hiatus"? Thanks!

Ally from what I understand is now a Professor in the English Dept at UConn and because of that may no longer have a blog. At times Ally got a lot of grief about some of her blog entries and I wouldn't be surprised if she gave it up because of it.

Except for the fact her other blog is still going.

And a very Ally blog it is,too. Follow Samantha Brown's link above to find it.

Thanks to the person who fixed my typo in the original header!!

.-.
On the south side of Chicago years ago, we called out Ally, Ally Out and Free, but that may have been "regional differences" ;) . How about "That's Ally She Wrote..."

You're welcome.

Do you think Ms. Auriemma's blog should be entitled Ally, Ally, in Free? Or Ally, Ally Oxen Free-O? (That's what we called out in my neighborhood. But then, we weren't a verbally meticulous bunch.)

I haven't heard that call in many-a-year; associated with Ring-a-Levio in the North Bronx, circa:1947-55.
Is that the neighborhood of which you speak?

I've heard both, ally, ally, oxen free when I was a kid, and ally, ally in free when I was older. Whose song ended with that--Peter, Paul and Mary? The Kingston Trio?
