Has anyone been to the new Sportsbooks at either of the CT casinos? Any thoughts on which one is better for an afternoon of watching tourney games?

Mohegan Sun just opened their new Sportsbook, previously the sports betting operation was off to the side of one of the Sports Bars there. The new room looks pretty incredible with several massive, almost movie-theater size screens. I didn't spend any times in there though, just walked by on my way to play poker the other day.

Can't comment on Foxwoods, haven't been there recently.

The new sports book at Mohegan is run by FanDuel. I wasn't impressed. Pretty empty. No food. Cash bar... What used to be in that room was the Racebook with horses and dog racing with huge screens. You could drink free while betting. Watch your races...it made for a fun time... That's no longer the case. The Racebook is now in a separate ares, but it's just a bunch of unfolding tables and chairs, smaller screens and no bar. Lousy job by Mohegan IMHO.

Word, thanks for filling in some details. Odd that they don't offer free drinks in the sports book when they are readily available most everywhere else in the casino.

Just an FYI it's not 100% open yet. I believe food and other options are being added next Saturday for their grand opening.

planning to go for the first weekend of the tourny, hoping it is fully open by then and worth the trip…

-> Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook also rolled out a full dining menu on February 28th, offering Philly cheese steaks, pizza, tacos, wings, nachos and a variety of specialty burgers (including Impossible™ Burger options). The drink menu includes highlights like the “Shooter McGavin” (Basil Hayden bourbon, Proof white peach syrup, lemon sour and black tea), the “Jesus Shuttlesworth” (Knob Creek Rye Mohegan Sun Series 1, Fruitful Blackberry liqueur, lime sour and Fever-Tree ginger beer). Craft beer favorites include the likes of Blue Moon, Sam Adams, Cisco Brewers, UFO, Outer Light Brewing Company and plenty more. <-
