This is kinda nuts. They win a seemingly random national title once in 2016, and are now one win from the finals with a chance to do it again. Unlikely powerhouse. Still more work to do, but if they are able to pull it off, we could have a year with Vermont, Western Michigan, Cornell and Coastal Carolina winning four of the top six men’s team national titles. Yeah - “top” is open to debate. Ice hockey, lax and soccer don’t have full P4 participation so the door is wider for interlopers to sneak through and win one. Harder to win one in tennis or track and field. But still. The power conference schools who do compete aren’t in it to lose.
