In France filming his show. Found his shows informative and witty. Food, people, and the social order of the countries and cities he visited were studied deftly and not too heavily. If only people would reach out for support to address their pain. I'll miss him.

Took me a bit to appreciate his approach but agree with you on his approach.
Very sorry to hear this.
My daughters -- both in their 20s -- were/are upset with Kate Spade's suicide, so this has been a sad week....

His program was informative, entertaining, and fun. He was a rare talent and will be missed.

Losing Anthony and Kate Spade to suicide in the same week is very sad and points out the need for help.

Sad news. I enjoyed his tv programs and his personality.

"His selfless social advocacy was a far cry from his youthful hedonistic lifestyle, one that he admits should have caught up with him years earlier. "I should’ve died in my 20s," he told Biography.com in 2016. "I became successful in my 40s. I became a dad in my 50s. I feel like I’ve stolen a car – a really nice car – and I keep looking in the rearview mirror for flashing lights."

Anthony Bourdain Dead at 61 of Apparent Suicide

This makes it all the more mystifying and painful. Tony appeared to have come through to the other side, but then the darkness grabbed him.

I read the headline of this thread and say out loud "No!".

Loved his shows about his travels and ideas about food and drink.

You never know, do ya...

RIP Tony.
