I just filled up at $2.97.9 on the Berlin Tpke at the Citgo station next to Home Depot.
The other Citgo up the Berlin Tpke. (next to McDonalds) is at the same price $2.97.9.

So either direction you go you have a shot for cheap(er) gas.

But be prepared to wait- every pump had 6-8 cars at it.

It's actually quite entertaining-I saw one (almost )fight with people trying to cut the line or back into pumps that are going the other direction.

Anybody see it cheaper in state?

I always fill up at a Citgo on rt 10 in Farmington. Last time I went was about a week ago. 3.49/gallon if I remember correctly.

$3.34 This Morning in East Hampton (and Cash & Credit are same price), Still $3.40-something in Colchester. $3.40-something+$0.05 for credit.

Just download the GasBuddy app. It lists the prices for every gas station and is updated daily.

FYI- Sam's Club on Berlin Tpke. also at $2.97.9 a gallon(pretty sure you have to be a member)

2.98 in Indiana. I did pay 2.95 about a week ago and then went up a little bit.

Sams also has a mastercard that gives you an extra 5% cash back on gas purchases wherever (doesn't have to be theirs)you get gas, so that's another 15 cents.

I feel like this thread could somehow be merged with the one about the New Haven taco trucks.

The Sam's card is a good deal.

I just switched from Sam's to Costco.
The Costco Amex gives you 3% on gas.. So does the AMEX business card. You can also get 5% back on gas twice a year for two quarters( 6 months a year) using the Chase Freedom card.

with the sams mastercard, you just have to make sure that if you get gas at a competing store (costco, bj's, stop and shop, etc) you will only get 1% cash back.

OK, so at Valero you get the 5% but not at the others?

Well you can get gas at either one of those so...

Well if the savings are there I can drive to New Haven for some tacos. On a related note/rant I have been trying to convince my wife for years that its not wise to drive 10 miles to save on groceries, because the gas costs eats up the savings.

Perhaps if someone else were to tell her she would listen.

It's nice living .2 miles from said Citgo (the one further down near Stop&Shop). Don't go near peak times though or there will be a long ass line.

It will give you 5% at Getty, citgo, texaco, Valero. Any place that competes with Walmart or sams will only give you 1%.

there's a big oil glut thanks to new fracking techniques pioneered by the good ole US of A. We're pumping more crude than the Saudi's

Gas will be lower than 3 bucks everywhere by the end of this week and maybe for the short term

I was in Ct last week the prices ranged from 3.65 to 3.45
In Az the current price is about 3.10
Costco is about 3.03

The other gas station next to the boston market is only 307-310 I think. There is no line and it is far far far far less stress.... Unless your getting 100 gallons of gas it is not worth that wait.

Im in St. LOUIS on business and just pais $2.80/gallon.
That's really good. In SC average price is 2.959. A shell station nearby is 2.83.

I just read my Sam's MasterCard rules. They will pay 5% on gas at any gas station for only the first $6000 except discount clubs and competing, then 1% after that. 3% on travel and dining no limit. Cash back can't exceed $5000. By getting gas at Valero today at $3.18, I essentially get it for $3.02.

I love watching morons sit in line for gas. CONGRATS bro you just saved $1, and waited in line 20 minutes and burned half a gallon of gas idling with your A/C on and windows open.

Seriously, just give up at life.
