The Celtics are big-time beneficiaries of the Cavs' attempts to clear cap space to lure LeBron.

"The Cleveland Cavaliers, Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics have agreed upon a three-team trade.

The trade allows the Cavaliers to create approximately $24 million in cap space, with LeBron James' max contract being worth $20.7 million. The Cavaliers also acquire the draft rights to three Nets' prospects (Ilkan Karaman, Christian Drejer and Edin Bavcic).

The Nets will acquire Jarrett Jack and Sergey Karasev.

The Celtics acquire Tyler Zeller, Marcus Thornton and the Cavaliers' 2016 first round pick. Boston will have $33 million in contracts coming off the books in Thornton, Rajon Rondo, Brandon Bass and Joel Anthony."

Meanwhile, the Celtics' prior trade with the other team in the deal (the KG/Pierce trade) is the gift that keeps giving. This is the Celtics' haul so far:

Keith Bogans
Kris Humphries
James Young
2016 1st Unprotected
Right to Trade 1sts with Nets in 2017
2018 1st Unprotected
Tyler Zeller
Marcus Thornton
Future Cavs 1st (protected until 2019)

...

and Gerald Wallace

Wow… Celtics can turn things around quickly with those quality 1st rounders coming their way. That 2017 Net pick might be pretty valuable, as well…

And the knicks will be wallowing along in their mediocrity...

Good, send that pick in a Love deal too.

Smart, either Olynyk or Sullinger, filler, and the Nets and Cavs 1st rounders in 2016 for Love and filler
