Nets finish 3rd worst, meaning:

15.6% for the 1st pick
15.7% for the 2nd pick
15.6% for the 3rd pick
22.6% for the 4th pick
26.5% for the 5th pick
4.0% for the 6th pick

31.3% they're in the top 2 and 46.9% chance they're in the top 3.

Definitely the 5th pick. They will pick Kris Dunn because that's what they do..draft guards.

Kind of amazing the aggregate odds are higher they would be lower than the #3 even though they got the #3

Hopefully the Lakers get the 7th

Well if anyone has seen Hamilton play its Danny Ainge, he has been observed at many UConn games for sure including Atlantis

Is there a way the NBA can somehow gift both the Lakers and Sixers a #1 pick? The NBA will find a way

Prediction: Celtics get top 2 pick, package that in a deal with Crowder, Bradley, Sullinger, whoever else and get Butler from Chicago. Then that'll convince Durant to sign and will bring his buddy Horford along.
PG: IT
SG: Butler
SF: Durant
PF: Horford
C: Olynyk/Johnson/whomever
Game over.

Why trade Bradley?? If it's not broke don't fix it. Trade for Horford and another big or play Durant as a stretch 4.

I would do whatever it takes to get Butler here or that caliber player, even if it means Bradley. This Celtics team is fun to watch, but they are still miles away from contending for a championship. Once they reach the Cavs, the road is over.
Plus if you have Thomas, Butler, Brad Stevens and two high lottery picks for the next two years, that should be very tempting for Durant and Horford.
Bottomline, Celtics fans should be willing to sacrifice the nice, middle-of-the playoff pack Eastern conference team they have now for a championship contending team with a Big 3. You need stars to win titles, not Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder.

Because salaries need to match and Avery will make over 8 mill next year and the Bulls will want more than a bag balls for their best player.

Hofford is a FA you do not need to trade for FAs.

There's no money for all those guys and quality depth.

Actually, there is. The Cavs found a way to afford Lebron, Love and Irving. The 08 Celtics were able to afford KG, Pierce, and the GOAT.
I'm not saying Durant or Horford will take a pay cut to come to Boston, but there are ways to work around the cockamamie NBA cap rules. The salary cap is increasing, plus the Celtics already have room for 2 max contracts as it is.

They already turned down sending Crowder to Chicago in a package for Butler. Reported in the Tribune earlier this week.

Celts make a very interesting pick at the very top of round 2......2016 Mock Draft | NBADraft.net

Hint: He played for UConn for the last 2 seasons
Hamilton to the Celtics is a best-case scenario. He has to end up with a coach who values - and knows how to take avantage of - passing ability, rather than one of the throwback, iso-dinosaurs that still roam the earth.

Best Young coach in the game. Top 5 in the east already. Enough cap space to sign two max salary players this summer. An all star for 6 mill a year and top 5 picks next 3 years.

Doooomed........

I'm really banking on the law of averages. The Celtics haven't been lucky for 37 years.

Drafting Paul Pierce was lucky. hahahahah

Yes, I know what you were referring to.

Meanwhile Phil Jackson is going to retain Rambis and we'll get the pleasure of watching him turn GodZingis into a wet noodle

So that means there's no chance of it ever happening? That was over 2 months ago...

It just means, from what I read, that Crowder won't be part of the package. The Celts have so many picks they have to make a trade or several.
