I'm really proud Caron Butler went to UConn. Simply put, he's the greatest ambassador the UConn men's basketball program has ever had. We've had plenty of great players and great men play at UConn but nobody embodies what UConn basketball is all about better than Caron. It's a testament to Caron and to JIm Calhoun, to come from where he came from and turn into the man he is today isn't easy and he keeps making all of us proud.

There's a reason he's one of the most respected and beloved NBA players of recent memory.
