There's not a day that goes by that I don't think how lucky I am that people didn't have cell phones with cameras when I was in college. The turn around time for being shown what an ass you were when you were drunk used to be at least 1-2 weeks, and eventually the pictures would get lost. Now it's on the internet immediately and forever.

These jokes were made in bad taste, more importantly they weren't very original or funny, but it's 100% ridiculous for her to be suspended for them.

1. Re Penn State: she only poked fun publicly what everyone is thinking & voices behind closed doors (or on Saturday Night Live)
2. He "Brandi Chastain" moment got some national publicity & notoriety for both herself & her team ( which would be a footnote at best in the sportspages).
3. She was disciplined (held out of the playoff game) for her action.
