I often wonder how things would have turned out for us if Bynum didn't declare for the draft out of high school, it's scary to think how good that team would have been if Bynum came and AJ never had his near death experience, our talent would have been insane. Anyways Mitch Kupchak knew exactly what he was doing when he said Bynum is off limits in a Dwight Howard trade, Bynum is already better than Howard.

When I heard Bynum had committed to Uconn,I made it a point to watch the McD's classic. He only played a few minutes and was slow and pudgy.
I thought Calhoun was nuts to offer him. With the returning bigs we had coming back this kid wasn't going to play. I was amazed when LA took him in the first round. Give the Lakers credit for sticking with him for 5 years. If he came to Uconn and didn't play he might never had emerged.

Bynum isn't better than Howard.

Howard's stats are still a little better than Bynum's but I think it's pretty clear that Bynum is close to passing Howard. I don't think anyone would trade Bynum for Howard at this point, Bynum seems to be getting better each game and he is massive, clearly more offensively skilled than Howard.

Um, I don't think it's clear at all.

Two months ago not one person would have traded Howard for Bynum. Granted Howard's character issues have become a legit red flag, but let's not overreact to Bynum's first healthy season since 2006-07.

I often wonder what would have happened if Mike McKay didn't slam that monster jam off the back rim against Cuse in 1978 NCAA's. That would have cut the lead to 1 with about 8 minutes left. The Cuse would have been reeling, the gym would have been shaking. Instead, all the wind left the sails in an instant. UConn had the best player on the court, what if they went on to win? The mind boggles!

Bynum may have talent, but he's a classless punk through and through.

He has clearly improved A LOT.. and their best chance to win is running high-low with him and Gasol.. but Kobe's insistence on taking more shots than both of them combined will ultimately be their undoing against OKC or San Antonio

Don't agree that Bynum is better than Howard, though it is much more of a debate than it was a year ago. I would give Howard the slight edge all things considerd, because he impacts the game more defensively, covers for the mistakes of his teammates, and still shoots 60% from the floor averaging 20 and 14.
