>>Boston University junior forward Nick Roberto, who has not played this season due to a team-imposed suspension, will not play for the remainder of this season, College Hockey News has learned.

According to several sources, Roberto's suspension is the result of gambling activity he participated in during last season. Sources indicate that Roberto was not the only BU player involved, though those players are no longer with the hockey program. The identity of those players could not be confirmed. Other sources have indicated that players from other teams were involved, too.<<

Seems to be involved in placing pro sports bets. Not college, not even pro hockey. Some on Twitter threw out some very, very, very serious allegations that were not even close to what came out. Stupid move by Roberto, but in the grand scheme of things, not the worst offense.

Heck, even the BC trolls over on USCHO thought this story was a snoozer.

Where do you go to find a bookie, or Sports Book that is going to take bets on College Hockey?

Vegas put lines on the championship game and I think the tournament, that's about it. I doubt bookies get much action on a regular basis on college hockey, if at all.

If there was ever a place, it'd be South Boston.

Not that college hockey is likely to have any organized gambling action now, but it might linger in Charlestown's, Southie's, or Dot's less gentrified, paler sections. Or, maybe down South Shore on the Irish Riviera.
