There aren't many trades during the nfl season.....much less for the 3rd overall pick taken a year ago. Wow, I don't get this one unless the browns just knew he wasn't the guy they thought he was and sold as high as they could on him.

I have Andrew Luck for fantasy. Hopefully this helps the Colts' overall offensive production in a way that gives Luck more fantasy value.

I'm not sold on Richardson yet. There's something wrong with that kid and as you infer...the Brown's may think they are better to ditch him now.

There's nothing wrong with Richardson. They traded up to get him last year (separate regime). This is the Browns dumping talented players for picks so they can tank the rest of the season. Browns fans are PISSED btw. They traded their #3 pick from last year for a 1st rounder that will be in the second half of the round.

Have to agree, the real mistake was picking Richardson that high last season(by a different staff ). Unless you are getting a freak like Adrian Peterson, it is best to wait on drafting a running back. They get hurt and beat up so often and it has become a passing league. Cleveland is thinking ahead and needs a new quarterback and top notch receiver to compete in the NFL. Stacking picks is the best option for them. 2 first rounders(with the trade), 2 third rounders and 2 fourth rounders(already on the books) for next season's draft is a good start.

Cleveland has a good CB, NT, LT, a couple others. That's it.

They need a QB, DEs, a WR, another CB opposite Haden, and maybe some middle round OL and LB help.

After all that's done in the next two years, they can go out and get a RB. RBs are plentiful around the NFL.

Not a bad deal for both teams. The Browns figure go trade Richardson while his value is still high, and the Colts now will split the carries between Bradshaw (who is injury prone) and Richardson. The Colts lost their top RB and TE for the season so they had to do something. Unfortunatly its not good for Donald Brown.

It all depends on how well the Browns draft is the question. Tanking only works in the NBA. The Browns I hear will be signing Willis Mcgahee, I dont really understand that wouldnt he want to join a team thats a superbowl contender and not a team in rebuild mode.

What Super bowl contender wants McGahee? He tried out with the Giants but they went with Brandon Jacobs instead. This may be his best shot at getting on a roster and getting paid right now.
