"Sometimes you have to cross when it says don't walk".
This is a new book out by Lesley Visser...a memoir about her pioneer type career in covering sports...she is a first in many areas over the years. She was recently in South Hadley, Ma for a book signing....she went to high school there. A friend got her to autograph the book. I started to skim-read it but wound up pretty much reading the whole thing....great stories. I figure anyone of a certain age...maybe over 40...will find it fascinating. Young folks without long term memories maybe not quite so much....though it is a great read if you have a teen daughter who has an interest in sports broadcasting.
I'd highly recommend checking it out....maybe request that your local library buy a copy or two?
