OT: Bobby Valentine to atted UConn baseball preseason dinner.

Thought this would get more response here than on the baseball board.

Bobby Valentine is coming to Connecticut. Well, actually, he lives here. But he is going to be at the UConn baseball team's preseason dinner on Jan. 27 in Storrs. Ticket info will be available later. The new Red Sox manager figures to draw a crowd. Valentine will be the featured speaker as the baseball Huskies, who won the Big East regular season title and reached the Super Regional, are honored that night.

Good to see that Bobby V will be making a stop at the baseball team's preseason dinner. Is this dinner only for members of the Dugout Club or could other people attend this event?

very cool. my frosh year of school he came to my U and had a lunch thing about baseball/business. after that he met for a bout a hour with the baseball team and it was a ton of fun. i had met him before several times but it was still cool.
