Asked directly Wednesday whether he had ever requested payments from Gassnola for any prospects, players or relatives of athletes, Self responded plainly.

"That's a fair question, and it has been answered."

So?

"I can say, yes."

To be accurate, Self later clarified he actually meant "no," he had not asked for players to be paid. In that dizzying world of a high-profile NCAA investigation, every intimation, every word, counts.

LOL

This is what happens when you forget that paying players is actually against the rules. He is so used to it & it has become so common place that he forgot this important point

For politicians they say a gaffe is when you accidentally tell the truth. Well, looks like it might be true of corrupt hoop coaches too.

Self wants to tell the truth. He wants to say he made a coaching decision and that's the end of it. He eats breakfast 85 miles away from 22,000 Kansas State students that are trained to kill him. Nobody's going to tell him how to run his team least of all Emmert and his faggoty NCAA. The reporter asking Self about Gassnola and the payoff shook him, put him on the defensive, and led him right where he was dying to go.
