OT: BEWARE! Jingles You Can't Get Out of Your Head

She could sell me anything! And on this week, when Burt Reynolds died, it seems so fitting.

IIRC a member of the 60s group The Cyrkle ("Red Rubber Ball") wrote it.
Your recollection is correct. he wrote quite a few jingles after the Cyrkle broke up( guess they turned into arcs) . In addition to Red Rubber Ball, they also had a hit with Turn Down Day.

Real oldie:
Ajax commercial from late 50's.
Here is an expanded versio:

I'd like to say Coke? But buy them a moving van! But they are on to that, eh? Swarming into Europe. Old Sam Kinison stand up comedy riff.

Check my post #18. It's 1-877-kars4kid. I guess it didn't really stick in your head. You are sentenced to listen 100 more times. ;)

I turn the radio down when I here it, but then my 6 Y.O. picks up where they leave off. I never want to punt him out of the car more than during those 30 seconds until I can turn the radio back up.

Here's one that has been an earworm for me for decades, It is truly a jingle for the ages -- old ages, that is:
Reach for a peach
a peach of a bleach
Bleach Tabs made by Barcolene.
A tab in your washer is all that you'll need
Bleach Tabs made by Barcolene.

Also, beer ads were huge, ever for those of us too young to drink:

The Sheafer Beer commercials encouraging binge drinking (when you're having more than one)
Narragansett Beer ads in Red Sox games featuring cartoon characters voiced by Mike Nichols and Elaine May
"My beer is Rheingold the dry beer." I have yet to figure out how they drank it dry.
