OT: Best songs to wake up to

Two of my best friends told me that they waked up to Juice's Cadillac Ranch and the Dead's Frankin Tower for almost a year (one Juice, one Dead).

Now I never had that experience that but if I needed one song to wake up to for 6+ months it would either be Lionel Ritchie "All Night Long", or Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers "Breakdown".

Not sure what that says about me (or them) but real fun to re listen to the songs and think of the past during these trying times?

I'm surely in the minority here, but I guess I come at it from a different direction than your friends. My alarm for years was Horsehead. My wife finally vetoed it. I can see why it's not for everyone.

For a time in college, I would turn on the 2nd half** of Abbey Road as soon as I woke up every morning. Became a solid routine and it would put me in such a good mood to start the day.

**I would actually start with ‘I Want You (She’s So Heavy)’ which is the last song of the 1st half.

The Bad Plus:

The Bad Plus - Giant

Both are slow building songs that provide a meditative, yet wakeful mood.
