Despite referees trying to foul out the whole Belmont team they are leading. After all the complaining about Uconn wins I guess we should try to be more like UNC, Notre Dame, Marquette, all those great top 25 teams.

Michigan in a first half fight with ISU and Baylor in a close one with ULL (expect Baylor to pull away soon).

wow, I thought for sure Belmont was done when UNC surged ahead for the lead. refs tried to screw them over with that out of bounds call when Paige came down out of bounds but Belmont still got the W.

Um, what??? An NCAA Cash Cow lost? How ever did that happen? Someone must not have gotten the memo....

to be fair, two of their key players are being held out of games due to an ncaa investigation.

imagine if Calhoun and boatright could suit up, we'd have a tough time with anyone

The officials begged UNC to win - simply begged them.

They call Belmont for 31 fouls, but the greatest team in the greatest conference since the human race crawled out of the ocean only shot 22-48 from the free throw line.

Imagine how long the death penalty would be if UConn was found to have let BBall players take complete no-show/fake courses.

Hey there is only so much the refs can do. UNC shot 48 free throws. Belmont had 2 players with 4 fouls and 7 with 3 fouls. The only problem is that UNC made 22 free throws, while Belmont which took 22 free throws made 20.

If your defense sucks enough to allow 15/37 shooting from beyond the arc, you'd best hit your free throws.

Especially if the refs are giving you over two dozen more chances from the charity stripe than the opposition.

Should boost us in the rankings to at least T15.

Watch the NCAA let Marshall off the hook for driving an agents car.

Good example here of why rebounds are important but not always necessary for a win out rebounded 44-29..but good fg% and good free throw shooting

Michigan down five 1:18 to go.
I could be wrong, but I believe ISU is supposed to be good this year, so this shouldn't be extremely shocking. I'll admit Hoiberg is a good coach. He had a similar career as Ollie in the NBA, with smarts over talent making a long NBA career.

They will definitely be ranked after this victory. Very good team. Coached very well. Nice to see teams ranked ahead of UConn losing.

I agree. ISU has some good talent. The Mayor is doing good things in Ames, IA. I remember him being a deadly shooter & smart. His coaching seems to be following suit. Yeah, I'm old! LOL
