I remember a story in a grade school reader titled Bartholomew's Magnificent Hat. I don't recall any Cubbins as a last name in the tale, but this was about 10 years after Seuss's 1938 story 'The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins.' Now I wonder if it was an authorized redaction of the original, and if Seuss was paid his lawful royalties.
Growing up is sometimes disillusioning.
