Only 16 years after Women won the right to vote, a women's basketball team out of Cassville Missouri, jumped in a car and began a tour of America, playing basketball against men and by their rules, breaking every social rule that had been set for them.
Come along for a ride and Barnstorm America with stories of over 80 women with forward by former WNBA Commissioner and WBL All Star, Donna Orender
Read about a team that had to leave the Phillipines on a cattle boat, led out by a mine sweeper just before Japan invaded in WWII.
Players getting dressed in helicopters in hangers before playing a game on a military base.
Players that played before packed gyms, game after game, being chased on top of desks by energetic fans to get their autographs.
How about some that would pack a revolver in their purse wherever they went to protect themselves.
Teams that played 8 games a week, traveling hundreds of miles each day in every type of weather you could imagine just to play a game of basketball that is now taken for granted.
Along with them some women of the early leagues of the WBA, WBL and even the first woman to ever play in the NCAA. Teams like the All American Red Heads, Arkansas Travlers, Shooting Stars, Ozark Hill Billies, Southern Belles, Arkansas Gems and more
Manuscript currently being edited as well as cover is in graphic designers hands, Possible tshirts might even happen with the book cover.
Hoping for pre-sale to begin by July
