His contract runs through 2032. With TNT losing the NBA after next year, I would expect he will be involved with the Big East once the new contract goes into place.

Well maybe now he'll actually watch college basketball and know something about the teams and players.Joy.
Well, I think TNT still is hoping that their lawsuit works out their way.....His contract runs through 2032. With TNT losing the NBA after next year, I would expect he will be involved with the Big East once the new contract goes into place.
not sure what else he'd do...cover hockey, baseball, and nascar lol?His contract runs through 2032. With TNT losing the NBA after next year, I would expect he will be involved with the Big East once the new contract goes into place.
not a chance. the nba will give turner a few million and be on their way. unfortunately nba prefers amazon to turner since prime has 2x as many streaming subscribers as max.Well, I think TNT still is hoping that their lawsuit works out their way.....
Good luck with that, he didn't even do that with his main job on NBA broadcastsWell maybe now he'll actually watch college basketball and know something about the teams and players.
Yeah it's because he hates the Big East. Or maybe he called it that because we got the most teams ever in the tournament and then the entire conference crapped the bed except for us.He hates the Big East. In 2011 called it the Big Least and then UConn won it all.
Strongly disagree on being overpaid, show was one of the best on tv in my opinion, it will be missedMy read is that he has a contract to pay him good money to be a studio host. Unless they buy him out they either need to pay him and not use him or put him on whatever basketball coverage they end up with.
I cringe at the thought of him being a regular analyst of any type for college basketball.
But I am guessing someone said hey Chuck what are you doing saying you are retiring. I understand he does not need the money but it would be silly to just walk away from it given the leverage he has with his contract.
He was grossly over paid when TNT had the NBA. Love Chuck though in general, he played the game and probably made as much money or more post playing career with his tv work.
Charles struggles with college basketball but he knows the pro game and the playersGood luck with that, he didn't even do that with his main job on NBA broadcasts
Well that and he pretty much always picks against UConn which is great because he’s nearly always wrongYeah it's because he hates the Big East. Or maybe he called it that because we got the most teams ever in the tournament and then the entire conference crapped the bed except for us.
Barkley doesn't watch the pro games he coversCharles struggles with college basketball but he knows the pro game and the players
Real question is how many of those streaming subscribers are actually active streaming and don't just use prime for shipping?not sure what else he'd do...cover hockey, baseball, and nascar lol?

Barkley would be actively telling viewers these teams suck and not to watch the games, besides wanting to go streaming for the future I wouldn't be surprised if the way the games were presented on TNT was one of the reasons Adam Silver was out on them. The outpouring of love for Inside the NBA over the past year has been so weird. It's fine for what it is, but people talk about a pregame show like it's some kind of cultural touchstone.
I like it a lot more than what ESPN produces when they air NBA games, but yeah it’s just a pregame show. The outpouring of love for Inside the NBA over the past year has been so weird. It's fine for what it is, but people talk about a pregame show like it's some kind of cultural touchstone.
Of course the NBA will offer some settlement, but I doubt Turner will accept, the only win is for them to get the rights either in court or via negotiation. And in court is undoubtedly the better odds even if they are long. I haven't read the exact contract language nor seen what arguments either side are making, so the chances could be anywhere from 50-50 to maybe 5-1?not sure what else he'd do...cover hockey, baseball, and nascar lol?
