I admire your passion as a fan - honestly, I do. But you don't seem to realize that the regular season doesn't matter an iota when it comes to the playoffs.

Chicago probably doesn't win a game against the Heat if Rose doesn't come back (which it's getting safe to say he's not). Ditto for the Pacers with no Granger. The playoffs all come down to great players, and the Bulls and Pacers don't have any.

The Knicks are the only one of those three that have a chance to win a couple games, especially since Melo tends to play well against Miami. But even then, we're looking at a best-case scenario of a 4-2 series.

Barring a LeBron James injury, the Heat will coast through the Eastern Conference.

Pacers went 6 games against the Heat last year and were up 2-1 at one point. Knicks won one game with Carmelo Anthony as he had virtually no help throughout the playoffs last year. Everything ramps up in the playoffs, totally get that. But to say Miami is going to coast against either of the three isn't true in my opinion. These guys aren't the 96 Bulls.

It the same stuff every year from Knicks fan, just delusion.

All offseason you babbled about "stat" and how awesome he would be because of Hakeem and all offseason I laughed and said until he gets hurt for the year. Guess what he got hurt for the year.

Right now I laugh at you thinking the Knicks will do anything when it matters, ill come back and laugh more when they lose round 1.

STAT was a beast inside and around the block until he had surgery. Ask any Knick fan, the guy brought a more stable back to the basket element to the team.
You'll have to excuse me - I'm choking on irony.

Ok, let's review. Yes, Knicks are on a 7 game win streak, with wins over Charlotte, Memphis, Boston, Toronto (twice), Orlando & Utah. Only the Memphis win is impressive. Prior to that, the Knicks had lost 4 0f 5. Brooklyn, is like 6-4 recently, with wins over Portland, Phoenix, Dallas, Detroit & New Orleans. Not exactly quality wins. Boston is 4-7 recently, with wins over Atlanta, Cleveland, Charlotte & Toronto.

You play the games on your schedule. The Knicks are terrible against the West Coast, especially on the road. You can diminish the competition if you want, but beating Boston in Boston is huge for this team's psyche especially since they may see them in the playoffs. Boston has what, 5 straight Atlantic titles since their big 3 came together? Beating Boston in my opinion is always huge when Pierce is still on that team.

Cool. I also said the Knicks would be an improved team this year. Ha! They are. Check STAT's stats in 23 minutes off the bench. His FG% rebounds and PPG I just 23 MPG was exactly what the team needed.

I don't get it. Stable back to the basket game is ironic?

Back to my original post, I said it seems like no one in the Atlantic wants to win it.
NY is like 13-8 since the All Star break. Without this current win streak against mostly losing teams, they would be below 0.500. They beat the Celtics without Garnett & Rondo, not so impressive. I follow the Knicks, Nets & Celtics here in CT. They just seem to be going through the motions. That's my opinion. If you didn't want other's opinions, then why post?

I welcome anyone's opinion here as that's what a message board is all about. You said you didn't think anyone wants to take it, I brought up two teams that are trying to win it. I don't see where I said I don't want others' opinions.

So all Knicks fans are delusional? All Knicks fans? You obviously havent read the Real GM Knicks board, every fan base has their delusional fans and their realist fans. I take the Stephen A Smith approach, which is to not be satisfied with them until they pass the first round.

Real GM is crazy. Knicks should win 98 games every year over there.

Then you have the Lin and Gallo fans. You get the trade Melo, trade Tyson, trade Shumpert posts.

LOL yup, trade the reigning DPOY. I honestly stopped going over there as much after the explosion of the Lin fanboys. There's still D'Antoni fans over there for crying our loud, EVEN though the Lakers are in 9th place.

This team was built to challenge the Heat with all the bigs they went after in the off season. Definitely can't wait until the playoffs.

If I'm a Knicks fan, I'm desperately hoping to avoid Boston in the first round. The Knicks match up terribly with the Celtics.

2 playoff series since 2000. I still don't understand what that has to do with this years squad.

STAT was a beast inside and around the block until he had surgery. Ask any Knick fan, the guy brought a more stable back to the basket element to the team.

Rest on your past laurels tho, those multiple championships will help your team this year when Russell, Havlicek and Bird join the team in April.

They have won zero playoff series since 2000 what are you talking about?

I'm hoping for either the Bucks or Hawks.

They were in the Eastern Conference finals in 2000. Look it up.

I am I wont get cocky though because it is all about the playoffs. Knicks pulled their guys once the Celtics showed no interest in coming back.

Yeah, but it's good to enjoy the victories on the way to the playoffs. 10 more games with 7 of them against playoff teams.

true, just keep on getting healthy and build some momentum and watch our guys minutes. It makes a huge difference when JR drives to the basket, I want Kidd playing in key situations but less minutes and more minutes for Prigioni. Got the Heat and Hawks next on a back to back on the road, I would take a split.
