Think about it the Cubs won a world series it has to be rigged Cubs came back from 3-1 series deficit, Chapman purposely gave up a hr to Raji Davis for theatrical drama then the Cubs win in extras.

I mean the 76ers have been tanking games for like 3 years on purpose. As far as the league determining who wins beforehand, I'm not sure about that.

Hey people used to think wrestling was real.

.-.
Pro sports aren't rigged as much as they were before. Look up the stories about Tennis it was rigged in the past.

I think you give athletes too much credit. Chapman could have told Davis he was grooving one but it doesn't mean it's a guaranteed home run - see; home run derby.

Lets have Comey look into it

Sports are not rigged. Sure theres some shady stuff but out right predetermined winners? I find that very hard to believe without my tinfoil hat.

"Rigged" might be taking it a bit far, but certain teams seem to get the benefit of calls more than others (Celtics, Lakers, Yankees, Patriots, Packers).

Outside of having RC balls there is no conceivable way to rig sports.

I knew before I clicked on the link Brian Tuohy would be involved.

I read his book - it's beyond awful.

Yeah, there were plenty of MLB games fixed 100 years ago and there were some fixed games in the NFL 60 years ago.

Good luck fixing a major professional game in America in the 21st century.

Again - words can not describe how bad his book is.

This is a person claiming that the US government is funding professional sports to control the populace by keeping them distracted.

With takes like that he could be maybe the seventh craziest poster on the yard.

But in all seriousness, how'd you make it through the whole book? Was it just bad enough to be entertaining?

Tim Donaghy did. Maybe not the outcome but the spread, he did time in prison as you know. That was all on him though and not the league.

Yeah and everyone who has looked at it afterwards hasn't been able to find any evidence he actually impacted any games.

I don't think they are rigged, but I think Tony Soprano knows a lot more about what's probably going to happen then the typical fan

Pro sports are not rigged but the election is.

But only if Trump loses

I read it in like 3 hours. I was stuck at my inlaws for the holidays. I kept thinking it would move past stuff from 60 years ago and obscure soccer matches in the Latvian 3rd division but it never did.

This is positively Broussardian. Sources!

You must really dislike the inlaws.
