That moves Randy up to 3rd place at CoachesHotSeat.

Do you think Randy ever coaches a BiG game? Or is he the first casualty of the upgrade to impress boosters at Maryland?

RE not getting whack this year after all the injuries - he gets a pass. Goes craps the bed next year - he doesn't see B1G in my opinion.

I'd love to see the "criteria" for ranking. PP is back down to 18 (and not all because others got shot) - fun to look @ but pretty muh useless:

That some of you can still care about what happens to Randy Edsall while we have no idea whatsoever what is happening to UConn is so far beyond my comprehension I don't know what to say.

You are absolutely entitled to care about what you want. But most of us are having trouble mustering any enthusiasm for our season right now. You care about what Maryland does?

Diversion Biz, diversion... I'm a UConn fan through and through but watch and follow all of college football. (and I thought RE did a good job here). Easy - conference realliance is scrapping everyone.

What a . I hate idiots that think nobody should have a good time until all of the world's problems are solved. Was he on your side, or the groom's?

For those keeping score on other coaches fired, I'm pretty sure every one of them has been at their school for over two years. I hate to put a damper on anyone's hopes of P being replaced after this season, but it seems like 3 seasons of futility is the standard before a coach is let go. Tedford had been at Cal for quite a while.

Tedford made Cal better than they thought they could ever be... Folks are saying he'll land somewhere as an OC quickly. There are also voices saying that Chris Peterson always had his eye on two job - Cal and Oregon. We'll see how all the realignment crap weighs in on any decision.
 
Sometimes change is good for everyone. Tedford will land on his feet, but he definitely had run his course with Cal.
 
do not tell half this baord about another coach being fired. its bad football! and just wait until db goes north...i will continue to throw every possible name around becuase this shit sucks...

If memory serves, he coached Aaron Rogers and David Carr (I think it was him). May not be a good HC for Pac 12 purposes, but he is still a really good offensive coach.

We are not all lawyers....but we are capable of having more than 1 thought at a time :)

Not to mention, that OUR OWN programs ineptitude, along with the conference nonsense has zapped a lot of happiness and enjoyment from the game.

Not fair. The same could be said of people who have the time and inclination to comment on other people's diversions that they consider not worthy. Who cares what rocks someone else's boat?

He should be our OC. Won't happen, but would be cool. Do any college teams have a better NFL trio of QB/HB/WR than Cal? Aaaron Rodgers, Marshawn Lynch, and Desean Jackson are pretty good. Man knows offense.

Carr went to Fresno State.

I thought he was OC or QB coach for Carr prior to going to Cal. Pretty sure he was high profile even before Rogers. Just no time to look it up.

You are correct. He was Carr's position coach and OC for his freshman year.

Tedford has coached many great NCAA qb's - Joey Harrington and Akili Smith at Oregon, David Carr at Fresno State, and Kyle Boller and Aaron Rodgers at Cal.

He will have little trouble finding a head coaching job at a BCS school, IMO.

The actual highest of high comedies would for UConn to get left out in realignment, Edsall to get fired at Maryland and rehired at UConn.

It would be like a Coen Brothers movie.
