Impossible for me to nominate 1 film as my favorite of all time so I'll just go with my favorite of the past year:

One of the greatest science fiction films of all time. Hard to believe it was made in the fifties (1956). It is still not dated and the production value is way ahead of its time. The poster was definitely fifties however.

I'm sure we all have read this thread and thought, "now that was a great one," and also thought, "I can't believe anybody thought that was great."

There is no such thing as a great movie. There's only your opinion and mine, whether they be the same or different.

I don't have the ability NOT to watch Goodfellas when it's on TV. Bleeped language, bad commercials, being told I've seen it dozens of times? What's your point? Somewhat the same for Fast Times at Ridgemont High & Radio Days. Are they my favorites? By this standard, apparently.

Time to head down to the local library. Gets slow for me in the Xmas season and we aren't playing enough games. This and other selections are inspiring me to assume couch potato status for a few days.

If you haven't seen "Forbidden Planet" and you like sci-fi movies I recommend it. Great movie.
