This will change the media market landscape once again. Companies can now stream local channels without broadcaster permission.

Aereo charges $80 a year for locals plus 40 hours of streaming DVR space. 22 New Markets this year (none in CT)

This will force CT companies to negotiate deals with XBox and iTunes. Likely that cheapest Cable tier (the one for Senior Citizens with locals and shopping,and CSpan) will be an a la carte purchase in 2 years on all devices.

I wouldn't be so sure.

Aereo's razor-thin niche is the fact they only broadcast in a given DMA, using bastardized place-shifting.

1) They can't distribute anything that's on a non-broadcast network as-is.
2) Xbox/ITunes won't have the same DMA model
