How in the hell can you entitle this thread "About Pulchritude" and omit Dolly Parton?

You're kidding, right? There are several of my all time favorites here. Catherine Deneuve, the young Katherine Hepburn, but they didn't call Audrey Hepburn 'the face' for nothing,

and the way Ingrid Bergman looked in 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' could practically make me weak just looking at her.

The list seems to be limited to actresses.

I was never attracted to many, if any, of the early stars. Maybe it was the hair styles and make-up. I think Kim Novak and Natalie Wood may be the earliest for me. I can agree about some others, including Catherine Zeta-Jones. But my list has to have Diane Lane on it.

Among non-actresses, Christie Brinkley is near the top of my list.

Monica Bellucci, Kate Beckinsale, Miranda Kerr, Elisha Cuthbert, Lucy Liu, Anna Kournikova, Rachel Nichols. They're all beautiful in their own way. To each his own.

I can only gather from saying that you never heard of 70% of the women on that list (and I presume you are not kidding), that you are either 12 years old or have absolutely no knowledge of 20th Century culture. Incidentally, my curiosity leads me to ask: who would be on your list?

Ok ok ok.... so I slightly exaggerated  .... went back and looked at the video... and there were 17 that I had never heard of... most of those were the ones that were over the age of 50.

Vanessa Williams, Beyonce and Tamia would definitely be on my list....... most likely Lucy Liu....... and of course my present personal object of affection :), but she's not a celebrity...

Emma Stone, Mila Kunis right now. Going back a few years Linda Evangelista.

My wife, who I would have at #33, thought audrey was #1. The list blew up when Meg Ryan appeared.
Recently saw Raquel W on Mork and Mindy. Sweet Jesus! :)

What about the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton?

Going back several years, Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and Papas.

Jackie Onassis?

And, since this is a UConn wcbb board, may I cast a vote for Meghan Gardler, of hairpin adjustment fame.

Sue Bird -- at The Buzzer?

It should be noted the title is 50 "of" not the 50 "most" beautiful women. It is a good there are hundreds and more others including many around us every day.

I enjoyed that video - so often one see's some of the old stars and you say, "She old fashioned".
The video show beauty is ageless.

I agree. Marilyn Monroe, for example, has been dead for 51 years and yet the world is still fascinated with her beauty.
