In case you missed it, New Yorker faux news humorist Andy Borowitz posted recently the following report: "Polar Bears, Grizzlies to Merge". Be warned: people who feel that the eating of human flesh by bears to be an inappropriate topic for jest, except under conditions of bear survival-threatening habitat destruction, may find this tasteless. So to speak. It is worth noting though: this is worth a visit if only for the wonderful portrait of a proud Grizzly showing off his teeth.

We may have to merge, but I'll be damned if I will ever eat a harp seal ..... or lutefisk!

Lots of stuff that bears eat is kinda nasty - that's why I always carry a little red juice with me. It goes a long way in making things palatable, be it seal, fish or backcountry hiker.

Volumes of akvavit is involved in making Lutefisk palatable. After awhile you you don't mind. After a little while longer and a little more you don't care. And then after just a little more you don't even remember. It all works out.
