OT: A Lesson In Never Give Up

That's amazing! She made up 40 meters in 200. I've seen runners fall and finish but not fall and win.

The character with the stop watch, the man who becomes the coach for the great Harold Abrahams who is watching Eric Liddell, is Sam Mussabini. His real life story is even more amazing than how he is portrayed in Chariots of Fire. Probably the first great professional athletic coach ever.

I wonder if the shock to the system in falling down may have relaxed any fatigue letting her run almost as if she started the race fresh?? Might catch on as a running strategy

I was wondering something similar: that the shock infused her with an adrenaline load that shot her out of a cannon the rest of the way home.
