. . . and their families.
There has been much public discussion recently about the VA, especially focusing on the hospital in Phoenix and delays in general. I will not speak to those issues.
But I will tell anyone who cares to listen that the quality of care and service at the VA Hospitals in West Haven and Newington is first rate. I focus especially on West Haven, where I go often -- even though I have access through Medicare to Norwalk's excellent medical facilities and through Tricare to any military medical facility in the world.
To start with, the residents are all from the staff of Yale-New Haven, and the entire staff is courteous, efficient, and dedicated to serving us vets. If you are a regional vet, trust me when I urge you to avail yourself of the superb medical care available in West Haven.
And when you enter the building, take note of the sign: "The price of freedom is visible here."
