I would think the barrier to this would be more surrounding communities and NIMBYs pushing back against what would probably be a now ~65K stadium. That of course assuming there'd be actual demand for those seats.

If they just connected the end with the video board to mimic the other end zone plus the 10k add they'd have a 50k plus stadium that would match up with the majority of cf. The obvious thing is to fill what you have on a regular basis.
