to take the outright lead in the PAC 12? If they continue to win, do they have a chance of getting a #1 seed over Baylor? Regardless of what the RPI shows, the PAC 12 is a better conference

Sydney Wiese sets Oregon State's 3 Point shooting record by hitting her 180th 3 point shot. Meanwhile Kaleena had to hit over 300 3's to beat UConn's record :)

Weise has 180 in her sophomore year. On this pace she will pass KML.

She just might. My comment was more that Oregon's State's record prior to Weise was only 179 3's made in a career. That's a really low number in this day of 3's point shooting.

Including this year, Oregon State in 20 years has only had 5 years of having a winning record in the PAC12. Scott Rueck has done a masterful job of building Oregon State's WBB by getting international players and improved recruiting. Mercedes Russell should have considered staying home.

I wonder if they run the remaining games in the PAC 12, will they be a serious contender for a #1 seed. The loss to the Lady Vols doesn't help. The PAC 12 may be stronger then the SEC this year.

Was announced this morning that ASU got the PAC 12 to move their gymnastics championships from Tempe to Utah, so ASU will be bale to host an NCAA sub-regional. Charli thanking ASU admin and says one of the keys to a wining program is administrative support.

Weise's 180 made 3's includes both her freshman and sophomore years. Still very impressive and comparable to Lewis. This year Weise has made 68 of 154 while Lewis has made 72 of 139. And Weise is a very active player on both ends of the court.

In a related vein, OSU's coach deserved a smack on the head for putting on a full court press last night with 6 seconds left and a 7 point lead. Weise was, unbelievably, pressing the ball handler for ASU and got run into a screen that put her on the floor at halfcourt. She literally staggered off the court. I really like OSU's game and their coach deserves a lot of credit but that press was both unnecessary and inappropriate considering the time left and the lead.

This is huge and an impressive step for WCBB!

Hats off to the ASU administration.

Totally agree about the press. You literally dont have to do a thing on Defense at that point.

If you asked Scott (coach), he would probably say he was using it for practice/training for future games where a press might be needed to preserve a win or get a turnover.

The OSU win was no surprise to anyone who saw the two play in Tempe. ASU has neither the height nor the horses to stop OSU. I'm simply hoping that ASU stays in the top 16 and hosts the first round. Would love to get to those games, no matter who's playing.
