A UCLA loss would move Arizona into a tie for 3rd - its too early to worry about time breakers. But, that said, it is probably better for the PAC if UCLA wins.

If you're referring to the tournament I'm not sure this game has a significant change on the PAC standing. Both teams are in the running to host the first weekend. An OSU win actually would solidify that bid assuming they're not upset in the first round in the Pac tournament. UCLA lost would not in my view drop them below the four line.

Both have one difficult game remaining in the regular season against Stanford. UCLA should get a bye in the Pac tournament.

I'm not sure when first weekend sites are assigned. If a ASU finishes ahead of OSU before the Pac tournament and OSU receives a site bid I wonder if ASU would be in the running for a site.

ASU is extremely unlikely. Hosts are the top 16 seeds, unless there is a reason that a school can't host or refuses (which would not happen, since, by definition, these are schools that care). Actual reasons are generally conflicting events (i.e. conference championships in another sport, men's tourney) that have a need for the arena. It is still rare. First weekend sites are assigned when the bracket is released on selection Monday. It is not a bidding process, unlike the WNIT, which is.

Oregon, Stanford and UCLA are almost certainly locks to host. OSU is far from it, due to injury and "trend" considerations. To remain a possible host, Arizona must (at the least) win every game not against the teams above them and a win against Stanford would seal it.

As to the PAC tournament - I am sure Arizona would love to be the 3 seed, but the 4 seed - which we currently are - means that, if you take care of business you are going to almost certainly play Oregon in the semis. And to my mind, Oregon is "all that" and - similar to UConn when I was directly following Rutgers - you want to avoid aas long as possible in conference tourneys. You "might" upset the #2, but I will be shocked if anyone other than Oregon wins the PAC tourney.

Coach Corsi Close and her crew should be able to protect the home court and ward off The Beavers.
The crowd should be decent on President Day.

Agree completely. Depending on seeding Oregon could face USC for title.

So, a chance that the PAC has 5 first weekend hosts. Arizona's schedule closing out, like ASU's, is favorable with Stanford visiting Arizona.

If after the PAC tournament might ASU make an argument if higher seeds drop with a run in the PAC tournament?

Wow. OSU started the game 1-1 w/ 4 TOs. Is that really efficient or really inefficient? The Beavs are no fun to watch. Still nearly as many TOs as FGA, good thing UCLA is shooting really poorly.

I wish I could get more PAC games.

I LOVE Mikayla Pivec. She’s such a wonderful blue-collar player.

Now OSU has UCLA doubled up in FG% and barely leading. TOs are lagging behind FGA, but barely.

Out of curiosity, what does "That" and "girl" add in a game where there's only one woman named Chou? Also, what is a facewhip? Google is yielding nothing, and even Urban Dictionary is drawing a blank! (I'm not able to watch right now so didn't see whatever happened.)

She got hit in the face pretty hard. I was just being a smartass.

Looks like OSU finally stopped turning it over and UCLA finally made some shots. 31-26 OSU at the half.

Yes Mik is great. Get PAC12 Network...you get every game.

It's not available here.

I just discovered that Pivec is also on the OSU track team and quite a good student.

Half time show. The host said today's game is the OSU's last chance for a signature victory before the PAC12 tourney. I guess he doesn't think beating Stanford at the Farm would be worthy of a "signature" win.
Ouch. Maybe they're soothsayers and they already know Stanford will win on Friday? Here's hoping...

I'm not sure if she's competed in track since her Fr. season. I believe she has the 4th best javelin throw in school history, and that was without being able to concentrate on track due to bb.

She graduated in 3 years in pre med. She is an excellent student. She's also quite the humanitarian.

OSU had 14 TOs near the mid point of Q2. They haven't had another one since. 51-42 w/ 2:50 left in Q3. Beavs were up as much as 14 at one point.

56-53 thru Q3. Quite a bit more scoring in Q3 than in the first half.
