It was reported at the start of the Oregon-Michigan State broadcast that Kelly Graves has 15 days to decide whether the appeal his two-game suspension. If that's true, the timing of the Dec. 5 announcement will allow him to coach in the Dec. 18 game vs. Mississippi State and, if he chooses not to appeal, he would likely sit out the games vs. Air Force and UC Irvine on Dec. 20 and 21.

Those wouldn’t be the worst games to miss, although if you lose either of them, it’d be a real RPI/rankings killer.

Not sure what he’d appeal, since it sounds like he already admitted wrong doing, other than maybe trying to reduce the financial judgement.

The RPI doesn't reflect which specific teams you beat or lost to, just which ones you played. It accounts separately for W-L record and strength of schedule.

If Oregon had come back and beaten MSU on Sunday, I would have picked Lesser Dakota but as I think Oregon will have a renewed effort tonight, I had to pick the Ducks...:(

I am rooting for the Jackrabbits though, which every time I see that nickname, I smile!

Maybe Shades meant that those would be bad losses in the committee's eyes? Massey presently has both teams ranked very poorly (Air Force 238th and UC Irvine 172nd. Oregon is favored by 35-40 points in each game. Of course I think that's Oregon's best bet, as the Ducks could beat either team without Graves on the bench (as you suggest above).

Wow. If that offensive foul call on Hebard on the first possession is indicative of how this game will be officiated, Oregon is in for a long night.

That's a pretty good top 4 of mid-majors. Though Gonzaga should probably be #1 as they only lost to ND in a fairly close game. SD lost to Drake, but Drake lost to SD State (who also lost to Buffalo, Baylor and Marquette).

Guebert with 11 pts for SDSU in the first quarter
21-18 SDSU end of first

Man, I really want to watch this game, but my ESPN app is telling me it's not part of my package.

45-40 SDSU at the half

Guebert looking to be the hero with 17 pts in the first half. 5-7 from three

Ionescu shooting only 3-10

SDSU leads 45-40 at the half. A lot of the same issues continuing to plague Oregon. They're failing to identify the hot shooter in Madison Guebert, who is 5-7 from 3. There's just something wrong with this team.

You have to purchase a separate subscription, separate from your regular cable or satellite package, to get ESPN Plus ($4.99/month).

DEFENSE! Can't give up 45 points per half, and expect to win a lot of games. I will give UO credit for scheduling so many OOC games on the road.

Sabrina 8/3/5 - not exactly on track for a triple-double

It’s definitely within reach, but I think she’d just be happy to get a win against this team.

You can sign up for a free 7 day trial... then cancel before 7 days.

I did that to watch a game earlier.... then I forgot to cancel

Graham Hays wrote in the article: "After Drake's loss at South Dakota State, there is essentially a five-way tie atop the list. All but one of the quintet plays at least one ranked opponent before Christmas, which should help clear things up. But since we can't take the easy way out and make them all No. 1, here's the best attempt at a working order."

Oregon just isn't playing with passion or pride. Giving up uncontested or lightly contested layups and not matching up to the hot shooters. The officiating hasn't done them many favors (except a gifted phantom offensive foul call on a Ionescu acting job), but I'm just not seeing any sense of urgency or emotional commitment.

Is this team straining under the weight of expectations? Are the recently announced NCAA penalties affecting them mentally? Graves really nailed it in his postgame comments after the Michigan State loss, when he said that they're just going through the motions and not playing hungry.

Sabally up to 3 fouls early in the second half, and she’s Oregon’s hottest player tonight.

Whoa, just committed her 4th. Yikes.

The Ducks with the great middle of the 3rd quarter and take the lead, 60-56 with 2 minutes remaining in the quarter.

Chavez (UO) fouled out with under 2 minutes left in Q4. Oregon leads by 5.

Sounds like Sabrina is playing like an AA in the closing seconds.
