13 assists ok so she still got her double/double. The rest of the team filled up the stat lines: Boley 25 pts (7-12 threes), Minyon 11 assists, Satou double double (18 pts/10 rebs), and Ruthie with another double/double: 22 points, 10 rebounds. She should get PAC12 POW and certainly outplayed Pili, from the Alaskan battle.

I was being glib because somebody in the last Oregon game thread described her performance that day as “okay”. She was close to another triple double.

There have been continuous criticism of her, Graves, and anybody else they can think of that she plays too many minutes and "chases" triple doubles by some people on various message boards. It seems pretty silly to me, but it's out there. If collecting triple doubles was easy, more players would do it more frequently.

She usually does get parked immediately after a triple double if the game isn’t close. I don’t mind though. It’s cool to witness and probably helps her to continue to play at a high level.

Her hockey assists today (and there were several) were a thing of beauty. I was so pleased when they called out her pass to Minyon which turned into an assist by her to the big for the easy layup as the "Caymen Island play of the game". Those that accuse her of stat grubbing should just appreciate how well she helps out her other players. I'm in awe of her.

Just saw the number: 2,123 which is their biggest crowd of the year and almost triple their previous season average of 742. Still the smallest PAC12 crowd the Ducks have played agaist by far. Previous low was 3,326 at Utah.
The capacity is 10,258.

Boley is a real wild card. For the most part you can count on good production from the Big 3. When she goes off like today, how do you guard the Ducks?
With her 25 today, she is just 56 away from 1,000 points in her 3rd year. She only scored 239 as a Freshman at ND and wouldn't have gotton much time the last two years at ND with all those stars. She's been a good fit at Oregon and has sure focused on her all around game this year with her fitness. She is much less a defensive liability this year than last even though her scoring has been down. Now with the whole team clicking she is getting her scoring back.

She could easily make her 1k before the PAC12 tourney. That would make all 5 starters with 1,000 points or more (like ND last year). I like her game and fit with the Ducks.

Us Oregonians see no distinction between where you are from California.
Speak for yourself. This Oregonian definitely thinks of NorCal and SoCal as two very different species - NorCal are the ones who are constantly invading and relocating to Oregon [e.g., Ionescu, as well as Pivec and Tudor from OSU]; SoCal are the folks who visit and complain that it's cold when it's 62 degrees out!

SoCal folks are invading too. On my xcountry trail I ran into a San Diego transplant (2018) and he didn't mind the cold, because their was sun. Bend area is filled with SoCal folks whereas the Willamette Valley gets more of the NorCal invaders because they can handle the rain. Of course I came from the midwest 43 years ago to Eugene, then Corvallis and all my kids have transplanted, 1 to SoCal. Sign of the times.

Read the ESPN recap and couldn't believe this comment about Minyon in the "HOMECOMING" paragraph at the end, "the USC band chanted "traitor, traitor" when Moore went to the free throw line for the first time." They should be far respectful to a USC graduate. They need to grow up. She gave 3 years of blood sweat and tears to a school that couldn't get her to the NCAA tourney. She went from a school that had no fan support (750 per game all last year at Galen ) to 10,619 per game at Matt Court. She is going to graduate school where she can improve her opportunities which all college grads should consider.

To put it even more bluntly, she drew three times more fans to the Galen Center in her new uniform than she did in her old one. I guess U$C fans don't like to root for sports where they can't buy their wins with booster money, cars, and admissions for celebrity children and Instagram influencers...

Gotta say, Moore and Ja'Tavia Tapley of ASU are not only playing much better this year than they did in their old uniforms, but they're getting the fan appreciation they never got from the Toejams. Good on them to find a way to end their NCAA careers on such high notes. (And I say this as the fan of a team that is not eager to be facing either of them in the next two weeks...)

USC's lack of support of WBB is disappointing. Definitely not a contributing reason for a recruit to opt to go there. I wouldn't take a recruit to see a game at Galen Center if I wanted to impress her about what USC has to offer.

Does it hurt having multiple teams in the LA area?

That is the conventional wisdom. But, the population is certainly there to support the multiple teams if the product is marketed well and the team is successful.

I disagree. USC gave her a platform, an expensive education all for free. There are 350 D1 colleges, is it too much to ask to just grad transfer to a school where you won't beat your old school? Maybe USC is a tournament team with Moore this year. It just seems asinine to me that Graves is like oh, she can win a national championship here. So if that's the case is it free game on all good players on bad teams that have redshirted and thus have an extra year?

She is going to win a lot at Oregon, play in front of al ot of fans. If she can't take a few tough chants, none of which are cursing or anything lewd, then I am fine with it. Its over, life goes on, she got the win, who cares? What does Graves want, for USC to have a parade for Minyon Moore? This is a small one time occurence. It'll never happen again, she'll never play at USC. Graves comments just come off as disengenous. Didn't Sabrina graduate early? If she grad transferred to Oregon State this year I bet her reception at UO would be awesome. Sure.

Since people tend to adopt winning teams (see UConn), wouldn’t some potential USC fans be lured to UCLA? How has UCLA been drawing?

Oregon State does have an available scholarship in case your idea is not too late to happen....

2772. Pretty decent. After the Oregon schools and Arizona (and that is really recent for the Cats), most Pac 12 schools don't have great attendance for WBB.

Opposing crowds tend not to be big fans of Minyon Moore apparently...

Chants of "traitor" are pretty innocuous and standard-issue under the circumstances IMHO. At least the fans cared enough to chant something, which is the more newsworthy thing considering it's USC.
