OT: Opportunities Abound for Breakouts - a 2024-25 Yale Preview

Great read. Nice to see them continue to put quality on the floor, especially in this era of poaching
Thanks!

Honestly, between the money and the volatile roster configurations, the NIL/portal era has gotten me even more into covering the Ivy League compared to when I started the project.

Case in point, last season, four teams (Columbia, Brown, Yale, Cornell) ranked within the top-30 of roster continuity while three other teams ranked within the top-85. These teams are skilled, well-coached and increasingly athletic. Plus, if fun to follow the multi-year growth of teams.

I've seen practices at Harvard, Yale, Brown, and Cornell. All exceptionally well-run teams. If you're into seeing good basketball, the Ivy League is a great place to start. They'll never get the 5* recruits or anything, but the kids are obviously smart and usually just not quite bit/athletic enough to be at a high-major.

I saw a game @Lavietes Pavilion last year but it was out of conference. Malik Mack looks small in person but he was clutch.
