Opening with UCF in 2017?

Based on our OOC slate for 2017, it looks like we are going to start the season with a conference game against (our hated rival) UCF. As of right now, they are the only team in the conference without a 9/2 opponent. That could change in 18 months, of course. However, a bye in week one is horrible and should never happen. I was never a big fan of starting with a conference game - in most seasons you need a warmup or two of hour to really start clicking. However, we're going to have a ton of upperclassmen so this is as good a year as any. It will likely be really hot for the game as well - but for UConn fans with families, probably a good opportunity to mix an end-0f-summer vacation to Orlando with a football game.

2017: September 9, Holy Cross; September 16, at Virginia; September 23, Missouri; November 18, Boston College.
