I think the 2nd half stats had a lot to do with the 4 quarter rule. UNC goes 6 deep against Gard Webb. Is it that bad?

If you're looking for 2-3 final four teams in the ACC you wont find it. If you're looking for a handful of teams that can contend in the S16 and possibly E8 you're looking at the right conference.

I'll bet UNC didn't see this one coming. A train wreck just barely out of the station. Kudos to Gardner -Webb, they never gave up, or threw in the towel.

They played hard until the horn. I'll bet the GW girls on the floor could smell blood early in the 4th quarter, and went for broke. How many times have we seen this scenario?

Big lead late in the game. Play not to lose........and either lose. or just barely hang on to win. It's a strange phenomena to actually see a momentum swing in person. The last one I saw in person was that thoroughly forgettable night last year at Maple's Pavilion (Stanford).

What a way to begin the season if you're Gardner-Webb.

Not sure if Villanova was supposed to be any good this year or not.... but NC State is up 40--26 at the half. Syracuse is only up 5 on Rhode Island at halftime.. and Wake Forest is leading LSU 22-21 at the half

I laughed when I saw that ACC coaches ranked UNCheat higher than UVA (where I now reside) in the preseason poll. I don't think Carolina has any returning starters and UVA returns 4. UVA won't be great, but should definitely finish ahead of UNC in the ACC. And I feel absolutely no sympathy for Sylvia. She benefited from an immoral environment.
