FWIW -- and probably not much -- seems odd that other than a few tweets w/pictures no press releases or media coverage acknowledging first day of camp was last Friday. Now the AAC media day coverage was fine, looks like good coverage today and should be same from Rent on Saturday (weather permitting). But seems like first day should have been a bigger deal. Understood this is not SEC country but no way this would happen west of New York state and south of Mason Dixon.

Nah, gonna bet even JC would have invited the Horde. Again not something that's gonna make or break anything but. . . .Hey, when BD gets into playoff maybe it will become a thing. Maybe they didn't want to step on the Travelers. Who knows? But elsewhere (not sure why google link sez Big Ten all way thru, but)

So your issue is that the first 5 practices were closed to the media?

Thought it was SOP for first day to be open. I guess I'm accustomed to the traditional first day of practice stories like the ones linked to above. Always enjoyed the puking-from-the-box-out-drill stories from day 1 of men's hoops. Seems like an odd jump to go from Newport to fifth day of practice with nothing in between.
